Depending on when and where you experience nasel allergy symptoms, you could be reacting to either outdoor (or seasonal) allergens, indoor (or year-round) allergens, or both.
Outdoor - Pollens and mold spores are outdoor allergens that float in the air and commonly trigger nasel allergy symptoms. During peak seasons, you may experience increased symptoms - congestion, sneezing, itchy nose or runny nose - depending on where you live.
Indoor - or perennial, nasel allergens are triggered by another group of allergens, including dust mites, animal dander and urine, cockroach droppings, and indoor molds.
Skin testing for allergies is the best way to identify the substances that are causing your allergy symptoms. Call 409 813 1677 and get tested today.
ANSAR testing is used for those patients with chronic diseases which are often associated with autonomic nervous system imbalances.
ANSAR testing can detect many conditions in the early stages, when treatment can be most effective. Cardiovascular disease, diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, chronic fatigue syndrome and high blood pressure are just some of the conditions that can be identified and measured with the ANSAR test.
ANSAR testing requires no needles or painful experiences. This non-invasive diagnostic procedure can typically be completed within 15 minutes, and requires minimal effort from the patient.
It takes measurements of your autonomic nervous system (ANS), your heart rate variability, respiratory activity, and blood pressure readings during various situations. Analysis of this data gives your doctor information about your bodily functions that are not obtainable in any other way.
Bio identical hormones are non-synthetic, plant-based hormones that are identical biologically to humane hormone. The best analogy to differentiate bio identical from synthetic hormones is to look at the hormones and the receptors they activate as a lock and key.
The hormone is the key and the receptors they work upon are the locks. Bio-identical hormones fit perfectly in the lock, and unlock all of the beneficial effects of homones, and when closed properly, as with the BioTE Pellet Therapy method, have minimal to no side effects.
Synthetic hormones, however, fit in the lock, but do not turn the lock and release many untoward side effects.
Our Bio-identical hormone pellet method is one of the most widely studied, effective and safest methods of natural Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) available.
Bone density (or bone mineral density) is a medical term normally referring to the amount of mineral matter per square centimeter of bone.
Bone Density testing is used in clinical medicine as an indirect indicator of osteoporosis and fracture risk. Measured by a procedure called densitometry. The measurment is painless and non-invasive and involves low radiation exposure.
The Bone Density Test (DEXA scan) determines if you have a disease that causes bones to become more fragile and more likely to break.
A DEXA scan is easy, fast and painless. You will be asked to lie on a padded table. The test takes approximately 15 minutes.
A cognitive test is a computerized assessment of the major domains of cognitive function that are vulnerable to aging, fatigue, disease, pathology, trauma, diet and pharmaceuticals.
Core assessments can be completed in less than 20 minutes and data is automatically and securely recorded and uploaded directly into a database for your physician’s review.
The test will examine your cognitive ability over several domains, such as memory, fluency and mental control.
By analyzing the test results relative both to sub-populations with similar education and longitudinally, tests are capable of recognizing cognitive impairments such as dementia at very early stages in most patients.
Cardiopulmonary Exercise Tests (CPET's) provide clinical information about a patient's functional capacity and shortness of breath which cannot be obtained from any other test.
The composition of inhaled and exhaled gases are measured and analyzed. This enables identification of whether the limiting factor is heart disease, lung disease, obesity or deconditioning.
This procedure consists of the patient riding a stationary bicycle for approximately 10 minutes.
The patient will be connected to EKG to monitor the heart and will be breathing through a mouthpiece to measure inhalation and exhaustion.
Digital X-Ray - Digital x-ray is a form of diagnostic imaging, where digital X-ray sensors are used instead of traditional photographic film. Advantages include time efficiency through bypassing chemical processing and the ability to digitally transfer and enhance images. Also, less radiation can be used to identify internal injuries such as fractures, infections, lung issues and digestive problems.
Bone Density Exams (DEXA)- DEXA scans are used to measure bone density and assess the risk of bone fractures. They're often used to help diagnose bone-related conditions such as osteoporosis (or the risk of developing it).
Screening (2D and/or 3D Mammograms) - Screening is the process of a technician taking 2D and/or 3D mammograms using a mammography machine. Mammograms are reconstructed interior images of the breasts. The goal of mammography is the early detection of breast cancer, typically through detection of characteristic masses and/or micro calcifications.
Diagnostic Breast Imaging - Diagnostic breast imaging is a separate service which happens after the mammograms are taken by the technician. The images are used to detect the difference between normal and abnormal structures. Abnormal structures in the breast tissue can be diagnosed as diseases like cancer or cysts.
Ultrasound - Imaging method that uses high frequency sound waves to produce images of structures within your body. It can visualize internal organs, vessels, soft tissues, and joints.
Echocardiogram - This test evaluates the functions and actions of the heart using ultrasound wavesto produce a visual display. It is used for the diagnosis and monitoring of heart diseases (among many other diseases).
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) - An MRI is a painless imaging technique, without the use of ionizing radiation. It Detects structural abnormalities within the body such as nerve and cartilage injury, infection, stroke, aneurysms, and tumors.
Computerized Tomography Scan (CT) - 16 Slice - This scan combines a series of x-ray images and uses computer processing to create cross-sectional images of bones, blood vessels and soft tissues inside your body. It can reveal internal injuries or detect bleeding early on. The scan can also diagnose chronic changes to the lungs, abnormalities of internal organs as well as abnormalities in internal organs and the brain.
Autonomic Nervous System Monitoring (ANSAR) - This is a non-invasive test which takes measurements of your autonomic nervous system, heart rate variability, respiratory activity and blood pressure readings during various situations. This data is used to detect conditions in early stages and can identify Parkinson’s Disease as well as high blood pressure.
Nerve Conduction Test (NCT) - NCT is a measurement of the speed an electrical impulse travels through a nerve using electrode patches that are attached to the skin. It detects carpal tunnel syndrome, herniated disks and pinched nerves, among many other diseases.
Electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG) - An EKG records the heart’s electrical activity and shows the rate/rhythm of the heartbeat. It also shows the strength/timing of the electrical signals as they pass through each part of your heart. This helps diagnose heart attacks that are in progress or have happened in the past.
An electrocardiogram (e-lek-tro-KAR-de-o-gram), also called an ECG or EKG, is a simple, painless test that records the heart's electrical activity.
To understand this test, it helps to understand how the heart works. With each heartbeat, an electrical signal spreads from the top of the heart to the bottom. As it travels, the signal causes the heart to contract and pump blood. The process repeats with each new heartbeat. The heart's electrical signals set the rhythm of the heartbeat.
The ECG will show how fast heart is beating, the rhythm of your heartbeat, the strength and timing of electrical signals as they pass through each part of your heart.
ECG recordings can help doctors diagnose heart attacks that are in progress or have happened in the past. This is especially true if doctors can compare a current ECG recording to an older one.
A Holter monitor is a small, wearable device that records your heart rhythm. It is typically performed after an electrocardiogram (ECG) - a traditional test to check your heart rhythm – isn’t able to give your doctor enough information about your heart’s condition.
You usually wear a Holter monitor for one to three days, during which time the device will record all of your heartbeats.
A Holter monitor has electrodes that are attached to your chest with adhesive and then are connected to a recording device.
Your doctor uses information captured on the Holter monitor's recording device to figure out if you have a heart rhythm problem.
Sleep Apnea is the failure to breathe while you sleep. Obstructive Sleep Apnea is the most common type of Apnea. In this form of the disease, the airway collapses, cutting off air flow to the lungs. Snoring is often associated with poor sleep.
A Patial Airway Obstruction causes the upper airway tissue to vibrate and produce the sound of the classic snore. About 30 million Americans have undiagnosed Sleep Apnea.
Your doctor may prescribe a home sleep test and Home Sleep Study is the easier option, as you will be in the comfort of your own bed in familiar surroundings.
After brief training, you will take the portable device home for a self-administered sleep test. This process could save you and/or your insurance company money.
A nerve conduction study (NCS), also called a nerve conduction velocity (NCV) test--is a measurement of the speed of conduction of an electrical impulse through a nerve.
NCS can determine nerve damage and destruction. During the test, the nerve is stimulated, usually with surface electrode patches attached to the skin. Two electrodes are placed on the skin over the nerve. One electrode stimulates the nerve with a very mild electrical impulse and the other electrode records it.
Nerve conduction studies are often used to differentiate a nerve disorder from a muscle disorder.
Diseases or conditions that may be evaluated with NCS include, but are not limited to: Guillain-Barre syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, herniated disk disease, chronic inflammatory polyneuropathy and neuropathy (conditions typically resulting from diabetes), sciatic nerve problems, pinched nerves or peripheral nerve injury. Nerve conduction studies may also be performed to identify the cause of symptoms such as numbness, tingling, and continuous pain.

Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT's) are noninvasive diagnostic breathing test that provide measurable feedback about the function of your lungs.
By assessing lung volumes, capacities, flow rates and gas exchange, PFT's provide information that help diagnose and treat certain lung disorders.
This procedure usually takes around 30 minutes and is performed annually to measure how lung disease is progressing and how serious the lung disease has become.
Prior to test: Don't smoke an hour before test, avoid breathing inhalers/treatment 4hours, and no heavy meals 30 minutes prior.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a program which helps to improve the well-being of people who have chronic (ongoing) breathing problems.
The program consists of breathing exercises and physical exercise training. A 6 minute walk is done at the begining and end of the pulmonary rehabilitation program to evaluate progress.
The program consists of 18 visits where the patient comes to th rehab facility 2 or 3 times a week for an hour session each time. The program consists of breathing and physical exercise.
The 6 minute walk test (6MWT) measures the distance an individual is able to walk over a total of six minutes on a hard, flat surface.
